Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join the finance team. This role will play a key part in managing the company's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic technology environment and is comfortable with both month-end close and process improvement initiatives.

This is a hybrid position, requiring a combination of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions
  • Manage and improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, and other departments
  • Assist with external audits and tax filings
  • Support technical accounting research and implementation of new standards
  • Monitor key balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracy and completeness
  • Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to team development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA strongly preferred)
  • 4-7+ years of accounting experience (public accounting and/or tech industry experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) strongly preferred
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-growth technology or SaaS company
  • Familiarity with revenue recognition (ASC 606) and stock-based compensation
  • Experience with automation tools or process optimization initiatives
